City Of Gold

I love Deighton.. this one is set in Cario in 1940's.. the British occupy this 'neutral' country, with Rommel marching toward the city.
The plot revolves around trying to find out who is leaking infomation to Rommel about Allied movements and strengths. This part of the book is accurate.. which is why I enjoy Deighton so much.. his fictional stories are set against a historically accurate background.
So I have been looking into the history behind this a bit.. I never understood the Afrika campaigns much... starting to put a few of the pieces together, with the help of my friend the 'war historian' - lol
