The Mind of Adolf Hitler
by William C Langer
I learned about this book by watching a show on the Discover Channel about it. In 1943 the OSS asked William Langer, a noted psychoanalyst to try to learn about Adolf Hilter and find out what makes him tick. And more importantly to predecit what he might do if the war starts to go badly.
The book was in interesting look at Hilter's presonality and what in his past led him to his present state. The book was also interesting because it was written in 1943, while Hilter was still alive.. it is interesting to hear Hitler discussed in the present tense. Also much about Hilter was not known at the time, that would be revealved after his defeat.. but the book was an excellent look at one of the most influential people of the 20th century.
